Staff employees of UCSF in the fall of 2003 had a second opportunity to "lead the way" in defining and enhancing the work-life at our campus by providing honest, open, and confidential opinions about the organization as a whole, departments or work units, supervisors, and jobs.
The employee opinion surveys were confidentially tabulated by Morehead Associates, an external employee survey agency. The results presentation is specially designed to ensure that all opinions, both positive and negative, are conveyed to senior managment to effect changes, enhance our successes, and support our institution's diverse cultures in positive directions.
The response to UCSF's second organization-wide Staff Opinion Survey, administered in October of 2003, was similar to the first Staff Opinion Survey. For both the response rate exceeded 60%.
In the following months the key steps will be:
- Review and understand the survey results
- Communicate the results broadly across the campus
- Identify key issues for focused improvement
- Develop action plans to drive positive change
